My 2022 1500 Rebel Echo-diesel with 20100 miles on it has a problem of bucking on acceleration and sometimes just cruising. it hasn't stalled and has bucked as many as 5 times in one episode. Most of the time its only once or twice. I took it into the dealership and they couldn't duplicate it so they did nothing. Second time i took out the mechanic for a ride and he just said "oh my, that's interesting". They took some throttle body readings and it was -20 so they "relearned" it. it didn't take or i should say it did it again, not as often. Took it back and they replaced the throttle body. i got it back home without incident. the next day, it did it again. Took it back last Thursday 29 May. Still waiting on a diagnosis. They contacted Ram and started a "star" case, whatever that is. between this issue and 3 Uconnect 5 radios and a couple of hands free modules, its been disappointing as i special ordered this vehicle. I've had a 96, 2000, 2014 and now a 2022 Ram and this is the first one I've had issues with. If anyone has had similar issues, or might have an idea of what it is or what might be done to resolve it feel free go give some advice. Oh, it has had the high pressure fuel pump recall done.

so, the "stealer" put a monitor on it for me to drive and record when it happens. already did it twice within a 1/2 mile of the dealer. seems to do it when it is cold, not so much when its warm. gonna take it back tonight and let them go through the data.

they thought it was the throttle body, replaced it after waiting almost three weeks for parts. nope, not it. put a sensor/recorder on my truck and had me drive it and record when it acted up. now they think its the accelerator pedal/sending unit. still waiting for RAM parts three weeks later.

Did you ever hear back from them.i have a 2022 2500 with the hemi 6.4. Mine has been in the shop 6 times in the past 2yrs and they now say it’s normal. I find this to be bogus, they’ve replaced transmission, two valve bodies, cam and lifters. Now they’re telling me it’s normal.

well i am proud to report the bucking issue has ended. the problem was found and repaired. it seems that a harness that went from the computer to the frame rail had a broken wire in it. when torque was applied to the engine, stress was also applied to the wire harness. it was diagnosed by clipping the zip tie at the frame rail releasing the pressure to the wire. once that was done, i ran it for a week while they ordered the harness and i had no issues. no issues with it since the repair. that said, my nav 5 radio is full of gremlins again. hands free controls on the steering wheel aren't working again. they would go out for a day or so then come back. been out about 2 weeks not. have an appointment on Thursday, wish me luck.

Thanks for the update , we all appreciate your feedback. Even late !
It sure would be nice to get a proper diagnosis on the first or maybe second visit ,for the cost of things.
