I just purchased a 1999 dodge ram magnum 5.9 4x4 with a 12 inch lift and 38.5 inch mud boggers yesterday and when i was driving home it was making a metal vibrating noise everytime i pushed the gas, let off the gas and u cant hear it.. Well today i got in the truck and drove maybe 30 feet and then a big bang sound and now regardless of the gear when i go maybe 2 feet it does and big jerk like u would hit a good sized pothole or something and the driveshaft that goes knto the rear end is whats jerking... When i stopped after it first did it my neighbor yelled u messed up ur spider gears and ur probably gunna need a rear end, but as for that metal clicking i was hearing on the way home.. Its not making the noise now that the rear end is jerking.... Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be or what i should do, do i replace the rear end?? Will a stock rearend off of another 99 ram 4x4 work for this truck or will i need a more heavy duty rearend to handle the lift and huge tires or does it matter
