I thought this was previously resolved but the Cummins trucks with the RFE transmission are being recalled due to fire risk. Pressure coul build up in the transmission causing fluid to spray out of the dipstick tube.

I wonder if it's for the 68RFE or Aisin transmission. Maybe both?

From the NTSA site:
Some 2020-2022 Ram 3500 trucks equipped with the Cummins 6.7L Turbo Diesel engine and 68RFE transmission ("68RFE") may experience transmission fluid expelling from the dipstick tube, which may come into contact with an ignition source within the engine compartment.

It states only the 68FRE Tranny. This info must be screwy , cause mine is a 2500 and it still pulled up as as affected even though the info states 3500s?

The RFE dipstick is on the hot side(right)of the engine, pointing in the general direction of the turbocharger. The Aisin dipstick is on the cold side(left)of the engine, plus AFAIK the Aisin in the pickups has only been paired with the HO Cummins, meaning 3500 only.

This is an exact screen shot from the nhtsa website and no where does it say rfe or aisin. So i guess we'll just have to wait for the December 30th letter too go out.
Merry Christmas & happy new year from ram, lol.

Maybe the recall will be to weld the dipstick in, kind of like they did for the drag link locknuts on my 18 2500. I was going to insert a smiley face, but I would not put it past them.

What's really bad is there is no solution to the problem and Ram is telling affected customers to literally park their vehicle in a place away from any structures o_O

no where in this Recall did FCA say we had to park it, so do you have insider Information no one else has?

Hypothetically, if the truck burst into flames and was destroyed, due to this known issue.... who would be on the hook for a replacement? I mean my first thought would be FCA, but would that even be a possibility?

No insider info. To clarify i said I had heard they are saying to park it away from structures. I seriously doubt Ram would put something like that in a recall it would paint them into a corner. I read this in an article online sorry I can’t find it but I also heard them say this on the news report I saw on tv couple of days ago. Safety precaution I’m sure. Makes sense if there have already been 10 incidents of Rams catching fire.
