Same here. Took 3 days to rid of the CP4.I just got the fuel pump recall completed. We’ll see how long this one takes.
That's weird, they did mine in a 8 hr shift, did they find glitter in yours?Same here. Took 3 days to rid of the CP4.
My 3500 that I just traded in was affected according to the VIN and it had the 68rfe.From the NTSA site:
Some 2020-2022 Ram 3500 trucks equipped with the Cummins 6.7L Turbo Diesel engine and 68RFE transmission ("68RFE") may experience transmission fluid expelling from the dipstick tube, which may come into contact with an ignition source within the engine compartment.
It states only the 68FRE Tranny. This info must be screwy , cause mine is a 2500 and it still pulled up as as affected even though the info states 3500s?
Yeah, I waited 10 months for the truck to get delivered to the dealer, now it's going to be another 2 or 3 months before I can even take ownership.I feel bad for the guys looking to take delivery of their new 2500/3500 trucks; what stands out for me is the stop sale until they have a remedy.
No towing in the future for me so I’ll wait and see.
I’d be spitting mad, but I suppose you won’t have to deal with recalls right out of the gate. Make sure they take care of the tailgate recall I just heard on the news about also. Comms to owners are coming out early Jan I heard for that one.Yeah, I waited 10 months for the truck to get delivered to the dealer, now it's going to be another 2 or 3 months before I can even take ownership.
Took mine in at 8:00AM and they called to say it was done about 1:30. Mechanic said the first few he did took all day but now that he has been doing so many, he can knock them out in about 4hrs.That's weird, they did mine in a 8 hr shift, did they find glitter in yours?
Glad to hearTook mine in at 8:00AM and they called to say it was done about 1:30. Mechanic said the first few he did took all day but now that he has been doing so many, he can knock them out in about 4hrs.
There's no way that job can be done In just 30 minutes, just no way. I'm impressed with 4-6 hour turn time. That 30 minutes is obviously a flub up from someone who didn't get the memo of the job at hand, lol.I just opened my recall letter. Says it's a 30 minute job. LOL
I guess either the techs are milking it, or they are fixing the wrong thing, or Ram engineers can't estimate properly.
I would hope they can swap out a dipstick and trans vent in 30 minutes. There's no way that job can be done In just 30 minutes, just no way. I'm impressed with 4-6 hour turn time. That 30 minutes is obviously a flub up from someone who didn't get the memo of the job at hand, lol.
My bad, I was thinking we were referring too the fuel pump recall, sorry bout that ✌I would hope they can swap out a dipstick and trans vent in 30 minutes.
Them must be some fast workers to change it in 30 minutes being it seems to take them 5-10 to just get the truck up on a liftI would hope they can swap out a dipstick and trans vent in 30 minutes.
…and the time of all the dealership employees involved to answer your call, schedule your appointment, check in your truck when you get there, etc, etc.Them must be some fast workers to change it in 30 minutes being it seems to take them 5-10 to just get the truck up on a lift
