Pretty happy with my Tyger Star Armor steps. Look good and sturdy, I heard they have issues with rust. I just plan to keep an eye on the finish and if anything looks like its getting weak just gonna coat it with something. I might add something to the steps to add some more traction, but to be honest they are not terribly slick even when wet, unless you got slick shoes on :)

Don't waster your time with normal steps if you can afford it. I like steps, but dont want to see them. I feel it takes away from the 4x4 look. Go with the Amp steps. Got mine for under $1300 shipped with the ODB hookup and installed myself one night. Best mod so far!

I can afford amp steps, but I happen to like the look of my steps on my truck as well as how sturdy they feel. I dont feel like it was a "waste of time." If anything, i feel like going with the amp steps for $1300 would have been a waste of money for me.

I am going to go with the AMP steps down the road - just not a fan of running boards. That said, it sounds like the OEM ones are a pretty good choice for fit and durability

I agree, I have had my amps for over a year now with no complaints. I’ll never own another full-size truck or suv without them, worth every penny.

I have heard the Amps don't fair all that well in the harsh winter conditions in states like OH PA NY with the stuff they put down on the roads to melt the ice ... I've seen more than one F150 Platinum here in OH with them hangin down in the winter while movin ... They are very cool tho !!!

Pretty easy to find yahs and nays on them out there on the innerwebs ... They're good for some, lil pricey for others ... That's why realtruck.com has 210 different steps to fit our trucks ... Choices make the world go round ...

Just trying to give my recommendation. The only difference is I didn’t try to make mine seem better by running yours down.

Wasnt trying to run yours down either, did kinda seem like the comment you agreed to was doing exactly that though. I was simply doing the same thing, giving my recommendation.

Quad cab 2016. Prefer black or white if they make that
Asking because there is a set of the chrome, and a set of black OEM tube steps for $150 each on craigslist in the Houston area. Not sure what part of TX you are in.

I have had 4 4th gen ram's and have put the OEM boards on all of them. They are very sturdy, wide, and don't stick out too far like some others do.

So, without getting run-through by dealer prices, where can one get good new/refurbished OEM boards?
