Go 30', it puts you further away from whatever the other person is stuck in and further from them if they lunge forward while being pulled out.
A recovery strap stretches, you want start to "preload" the stretch then both of you get on the power. If they catch something solid, they could catch you pretty quick.

I bought a 30’ bubba rope. Haven’t used it yet but I figured the farther away the better. Plus it gives a little more elasticity too

I am converting over to Kenetic ropes like a Bubba Rope or Yankum rope. Using D rings in place of hooks.

If a truck is going 10 mph when the slack is removed from the snatch strap it can generate a load that is 2-3 times the weight of the vehicle being helped and so the strap rating should reflect that. For my 7,000 lb truck I have a snatch strap rated for 20,000 lbs.

If you use metal D rings they can snap and go right through a windshield or a person. Something to be aware of an to exercise caution.

A good d ring beats a hook hands down also never use a trailer ball it could kill you
