2018 Ram Express. I’ve read over and over Redline is the best choice for diff fluid. Anyone know where to get it reasonably priced and what weight I need for the rear? This will be my first fluid change. No towing, all highway and less than 20k miles. Bought it new.

I’ll take an educated guess but don’t hold me to it(and Nick would know even better than I would), but I believe you will need 2 quarts of 75w140 and 2 quarts of 75w90. At least, that’s what my 2013 Ram 1500 Sport 4x4 with limited slip diffs required. Check your owners manual.

My 2018 Express manual calls for 75W-90 in the rear and 75W-85 in the front.

page 602 2018 ram 1500 take 70w140 rear axle, pdf not secure.

I'd order gallons and get a pump, that is what I do followed Ronnie's move there. You just keep pumping til the fluid gets to the top booty.

Also, you likely know this but make sure you get this one 70w140 exaclty, not the one with the NS in the title. If you get a gallon you might only need one qrt of the next fill, so you can order a gallon and a qrt, that would be 2 changes. You can toss the qrt into the gallon to best use the pump if you buy the gallon pump. I use slippery Pete, he has quart pumps as well.

Actually I forget, it is either 1.75 or 2.75 quarts to fill these diffs. Just verify this info, sorry I usually know my stuff, getting old.

Interesting, my manual says 75W-90. Both the pdf and printed one?

go to harbor freight. they have a $10 pump that works awesome for fluid changes! it wont screw onto the redline bottles, but you can still hold it and pump it!

I am sure they went to the thinner fliud for the sake of .00001 more miles per gallon to make the government happy.

EXACTLY. We recommend still going with 75w140 especially if you tow.

For anyone interested, 2 quarts of 75w85 or 75w90 for the front and 3 quarts of 75w140 for the rear. Message me for pricing
