I realized today that at 42 I am officially an old guy. I've had my 2500 6.4 for about 6 months and am just rolling up on 10K miles. As I was accelerating today to drive over a Prius I realized my tachometer doesn't have a redline marked on it. It just stops at 7K RPMs.

So, is 7K the redline? I did a quick scan through the manual and couldn't find anything. Can any of you "whippersnappers" enlighten me? In the old days the redline would have been one of the first things I'd have noticed with a new car/truck. Probably long before the MPGs, safety ratings and room for child seats.

Be carful, it WILL happen to you someday too :)

Mine does not have a redline either, but with automatic transmission, what's the point? The Hemi will shift up at 5500 rpm when floored, where the power maxes out. So revving it higher does not make sense at all.

6200 to 6300 I believe.

There are ways around this

That is pretty funny. I wondered the exact thing yesterday due to all the discussion of breaking the tires loose, so I was wondering what recline was if I put it in first and went for it.
