Remote start does not always work

I have searched the forum for answers and find none similar.
2015 Ram Crew Cab - Remote start periodically works
Remote start flashes lights and runs just barely for 1 second and shuts off. no errors on dash, all doors/hood closed. 91 octane fuel only since new never had an issue until recently. Starting with the key seems to be no problem. New batteries in FOB, clean circuit board. Thank you for any help. I will try and answer any questions that are asked.

Take the gas cap off and put it back on.
Mine did the same thing, that fixed it.

How much fuel in the tank when it doesn’t keep running?
My 2012 will do the same thing with low fuel, think it’s somewhere around 1/4 tank(I try to never let it get that low, but sometimes it happens LOL)

The system will not start / run if it detects the hood is ajar (even though you say the hood is closed). It is possible the hood ajar switch is failing, sending a false message to the computer that the hood is ajar.

When the remote start fails, do you enter the cab and start the vehicle with the key? If so, does the hood ajar light illuminate or flicker?

How old is the trucks battery? If it's the factory battery consider replacing that.

Mine does that when fuel level is low.

Almost full gas tank, doors hood all closed tight. Every other electronic item works, could it still be the battery? as far as I know the battery is 4 or 5 years old. Starts fine with they key with no warnings on dash. Jut that remote start disabled, start with key. Will watch dash tomorrow morning when I start, usually just says remote start running, even though truck is not running.

Are the doors locked?

Have the dealer check the hood latch.

Doors locked, hood latch tight. No dealer in town. Will load test battery and see if that is ok.

I’ve been having issues the last couple days, the temps have been below 0 F and I wonder if it’s the battery and how to check.

Screen says "Remote Start Active, Key to Start". But engine isnt running. Only in the mornings.
