I received a Kaodtech bypass cable and am attempting to install it. The instructions advise removing the knee panel after removing the two retainer screws on the bottom edge.

Well, the panel won’t budge even after applying what I consider sensible force to it.

I haven’t found any other retaining hardware on the panel.

Any hints?

Edited to add: Got it out. Multiple retaining clips have to be overcome after the screws are removed. I popped the LH edge off and then went to the RH edge. Both times I had to apply what I consider a considerable amount of OOOOMPH to the panel to break it loose.

Thanks anyway. Leaving this here in case someone gets to deal with this.

And going side to side seems to be the way to do it

It might feel like it should pull straight up, but then you have to overcome every single one of those snaps at once

Prying them off one at a time takes a lot less force
