I LOVE YOU GUYS. I was just posting about this and saw this thread. Purchased my 2015 in Nov 2014.

So, the bracket on the frame that holds up the gas tank rusted out and broke on my 2015. My gas tank was hanging down driving on the BQE in Queens. Not ideal situation. Got towed to a Mavis and they tied it up with ratchet straps so I could get back to NJ where I live. Am I in time for this recall?

Thanks,
Tonino
Ask your DEALER that question.

One of the First Things I do when inspecting a vehicle, new Or used, is crawl underneath to confirm integrity and condition. Fuel tank support is critical on All vehicles…not just these with recalls.

I have a 2015 1500 Crew cab, noticed the front bracket hanging while walking out of walmart the other day, of course right after I filled it up. Strap tip was rusty but not rusted through. The front bracket was rusted through. There's also some brake lines right under that bracket that should be inspected if the strap fell down to see if it damaged the lines. Strapped it up with two straps and called the dealer a few days later. They said they would have to order parts but went ahead and scheduled about a week out. Covered under a free extended warranty. Need to run it this week to get the fuel level down below a 1/4. Will update this after the repair.
