I must replace my A/C And Heater Control module for my 2010 RAM 2500 for manual control, with rear defrost. I am having the most frustrating effort to locate the correct part. I have not disassembled the console to extract the part number, yet. I am about to do that to retrieve the part number, but wanted to ask an expert before I have to do that.

What confuses me is that there should be several in the series that should work, but cannot get that search process to produce any useful results.

Using my Mopar account with my VIN to start produces no path to identify exactly what part number I can buy. I have found an entire series of part numbers, but need some insight as to which ones I can buy.

Part Number: 55056826AL

Supersession(s): 55056826AB; 55056826AC; 55056826AD; 55056826AE; 55056826AF; 55056826AG; 55056826AH; 55056826AI; 55056826AJ; 55056826AK

Each time I go to a site that is supposed to be capable of looking up that number and do a fitment match to my truck I get not compatible. Any insight someone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if your question was answered or not. I was somewhat in the dilemma myself but called dodge to get clarification. So the part number I needed for my 09 ram 1500 slt 5.7 4x4 manual temp control with rear defroster was a 55056826**. I starred the last 2 letter because that does stand for all the revisions over the years. Don’t ask why there is a ton. But I was assured that as long at the last 2 numbers end in a 26. They will work in place of mine. Doesn’t matter the letters obviously the AL is the newest I’ve seen so it may be a better route getting that one so it has all of the changes and “fixes” I assume.

i will attempt to explain the model year

2009 Ram 1500 was the first of the 4th Generation Ram

1 year later, the 2010 Heavy Duty Ram was the first year of the 4th Generation Ram in the 2500 - 5500 series

The next thing to look at is the face of the HVAC Controls
There are 3 different faces, from what i can see
