I was wondering has anyone removed or replaced their Hemi badge on their 2003 Ram and what they think of it ? I go to the Detroit area quite a bit and the Hemi is a very hot item of theft for the engine so I was thinking of either removing the badge and lead fill it or replace it with something else ANY ideas are appreciated .

Me personally like em w/o badges. I like to tell people it’s a 3.7, but when it fires up you can tell that’s a lie. I wish they had a v6 badge for the 3rd gen trucks id probably put one on if they did.

Why would you lead fill it? They're stick-ons, this isn't like the old days with badges that actually stuck through the sheet metal.

I'm actually in the process of removing mine. My brother has done it before. Use a heat gun or blow dryer and fishing line to pull them emblem off. Clean off all the tape and residue. Then get some buffing compound and hand buff the area, then wax to finish.

The Ram Hemi isn't as much of theft risk as the Charger/Challenger cars. Then even still if they're not used just for a joy ride, it's the wheels, battery, radio and hoods that are removed.
Even the catalytic convertor thefts are down as the places that recycle them for money need to have a paper trail.
If your concerned about someone borrowing (nothing is ever stolen in Detroit...lol) your ride, have an alarm that makes noise and make sure you lock the doors. I was surprised to hear from a cop friend how many people don't lock their doors in Detroit.
