Replace under hood bulb

The underhood light in my 2017 Ram 1500 is not working. I tried to take the cover off , but I am not sure it even comes off. Is there a way to take the cover off, or do I need to replace the whole unit?

Before replacing anything, have you traced the wire from the lamp assembly to the firewall / cowl to determine if it is unplugged or damaged?

The cover should just pry off. Here is a short video from HT showing how to upgrade the light to a LED. Hope that helps.

Pretty easy to take the cover off and replace bulb or the whole assembly !

I was unable to slip a knife between the lens and the housing. The guy in the video made it look easy, so I will give it another try, and replace it with a LED. Thanks.

Yea it is a Pain to remove and not sure if the cover also has a slot to slip a screw it to pop off cover !
One of my sons has my truck so I can not look right now
