Hi,

not sure if this question is best asked in the interior or exterior section.

My local scrapyard has a 2006 1500 with the heated rear window option.

This option on my 2006 would make it way nicer in the winter.

Can my 2006 powered rear window be replaced with this heated one? Is the heated window stationary (fixed)?

Would the wiring already be there?

Just wondering about the work effort and difficulty.

Appreciate the help.

I have considered this swap into mine, however that's about as far as I ever got lol. It will fit right in place of your existing window, as long as you're willing to lose the sliding window. Only way to know if the wiring is there is it lift the carpet and see; it has to tie in to the same circuit for the heated outside mirrors. As I see you don't have heated mirrors from the factory you'd need to try to grab as much of the apparatus (wiring, possibly module). The wiring may be there for the heated mirrors, but with nothing to actually run it, so to speak, it won't do any good.
