Rockford Fosgate 6x9 installation - spacers? Dremmel trimming?

Hey fellas!
Im installing new 6x9s in my truck and im noticing these RF 6x9s are a little deep - theres a metal part that the window secures into that is bumping the magnet. So im thinking spacers, but then the top of the speaker will hit the door panel. So im thinking of risking the door panel and cutting the speaker port out and using the speaker covers that came with the speakers. Has anyone done this before? Any tips? Any ways to install these without spacers or cutting the speaker parts out of the door cover?

Pointless reply: I remember wishing for some big money Fosgate 6x9's for my '76 Trans Am. Lucky for me I could afford the Sparkomatics to go with my Craig Powerplay.
