I have a 2006 dodge ram quad cab 1500.

I want to put a 4in lift kit on it. So far I like the rc one. Cause its not too expensive. Im not doing any extreme offroading. Just mostly highway driving and some offroading and trail riding cause its the family truck right now. I have decided on 35s as toyo m/ts for tires.

Any opinions on what other lifts or tires that I should consider?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
I think you should stick with what you have in your post. The 4 inch RC and the Toyo 35's.....can't go wrong with that set-up.

I have to say and it's only my opinion, but I never could figure out the 4" people :) Depending on the year the 3" body lift is the best bang for the buck but then if you have the funds for a suspension lift why would only get the 4 when it's almost the same for the 6 and it's not a giant difference 2 "...Just my thoughts :)

got a question for people that already have done the body lift. i know alot of kits come with bumper alignment brackets. so everything "seems" like it was. i have the bolt on receiver hitch that bolts onto the bumper. now if the bumper goes up, there is gonna be a gap between the bottom of the bumper and the support bar, where the hitch bolts to. has anyone dealt with this before? the only thing i can think of to resolve this is to make spacers to go between the support bar and the bumper anlong with longer bolts. whats y'all's input? i was just wonderin cause this is what has put me off from doin a body lift already.

If I remember correctly the kit comes with a spacer that goes in there...but its been 3 years since I've installed one so hard to remember. I know my 03 I had didn't have a huge gap between the hitch and bumper.

hey. i was bouncing back and forth between 4 and 6 for months before i deicded to go with 6. im very happy i did. i wish i had a 2500 solid axle so i could do a 8' lift. for all the money on a 4' lift u might as well pay the few extra box for the 6'. i went with zone

I went with the 4" and couldn't be happier. I had the toyo m/t 35/12.5 20 but came across the new toyo a/t2 , this was a deal I couldn't pass up. I originally wanted these tires but they were on back order. This lift was just right for me not too much not too little.

I really like the Toyo At2 tires. Do you have a picture of them on your truck?

Sometimes taller isn't always better for some. I don't want to run 37's and prefer to run 35's. I like the stance of the 4" lift with the 35's. Plus The 4" lift will fit in my garage. If I want to go with the 6" RCX It will only cost me around $250 to upgrade.

IMO I do not like body lifts, I prefer a SL, to get slightly more clearance in the drive train, as opposed to just the wheel wells for larger tires.
