Trying to install running boards on a 2010 4WD and the 4 bolt holes do not seem to be aligned with the mounts. Any Advice?? when under the truck and looking up into the mounting supports, only one of the treaded holes is centered over the support. two others I can see part of the threaded hole and the 4th is completely missing.
Are the plates (threaded holes) in a fixed location, and the bottom mounts supports adjustable?... OR Does this mean the chassis is not aligned properly on the frame, do I need to loosen the chassis mounts and adjust position of the cab?? anyone familiar with installing these side steps.

here is a photo of one of the two supports that are only partially visible. The mount is a tubular design, think they are called nerf bars. A large braket hangs down from this support and there is a lateral smaller angle iron for stability to the body.

Can you get some pictures showing a little more of what's going on?

I have never seen step bars that fasten to both the frame and to the body as you say in post 3. Something doesn’t make sense because that’s never going to work. The body is rubber mounted to the frame and moves around.

If you identify the product it may help get better responses.

Step bars usually just mount to the body.

The body was a little cockeyed on the frame. The previous had taken the nerf bars off nd the 4 frame bolt with them. I loosened the 2 remaining bolts, did some adjusting with a prybar and was able to get the 4 new bolts started along with the new nerf bars.
