Running boards in a 1500....

Ok all, ive looked, googled and thought but still am not sure.

Ive got a 2016 ram 1500 4x4 crew cab, which to my surprise sits fairly high. My wife has a hard time getting un and out of the truck. My buddy at work asked me today to if i wanted to buy his boards off his 2016 ram 2500. My question is will they be a direct fit to my ram 1500 or no?

Google the board's manufacturer and see if part numbers are the same for 1500 and 2500 boards. Should be. Check the mounting bracket placement under the truck.

They should fit If these are OEM boards. Depending on which style(wheel to wheel or cab length) there may be two or three mounting brackets. The newer boards have two but both have been used on 2016's

If you both have crew cabs it'll probably work but the hardware is going to be your issue. You'll have to get rivcerts.
