Running Boards

Hello I have a 2021 RAM 1500 Bighorn. I have factory boards and need some advice on how to fix a bonehead mistake. I managed to run my board across a poll at a local WaWa and the end cap came off and I pushed the board in enough where as I cannot fit the cap back in the end of the board. What can I use to push it out enough to get the cap in. Sent a picture. Thank

short piece of round stock steel and a piece of wood that’s fits in for a fulcrum. Lever it against the wood and push it back out carefully.
