Have a 2002 Ram 1500 SLT QC with 87k miles. Great condition except small bubble rust coming from passenger rear wheel well. Looked like this when I took it off after removing some of the really bad rust
After removing as much rust as possible I layered on some anti rust (3 coats) then sanded and add 3 coats of primer and 4 coats of glass clear coat. In lighting can see the clear coat doesn’t blend completely natural first time doing this. Then added bolt style fender flares
Finished product. Yeah

Who's fender flares did you install? Whats the model and where did you get them. I have the same issue with my 2002 RAM1500

There are a few different kind. After purchase I realized the bolts were just for show and I wanted to create a tight seal to prevent water running down under the flares so went out and bolt Self tapers. These are rugged texture there are a few different kinds.
I just matched the self tapers with bolts for front to give similar look and this way if I need to replace the bed due to rust I didn't ruin the front with self taping holes.
