My 2008 2500has 303,000 on odometer with only minor problems. Never let me down and paid 32000 for it new which I thought was a deal. Used to be GM as were my forbearers BUT GM got too arrogant and tried to force me to cover with total insurance when I was going to buy one of theirs and use their low interest finance plan. Went to Dodge and the dealership owner told me he would have an answer next day. I offered blue chip bank common stocks as collateral but next morn at nine he called and said insurance was up to me. They would extend the low interest repayment plan I wanted with ten grand down and that was it. Collateral was not required. Now my son has a Dodge and this trend will spread for sure in my family. GM did not care to save me any insurance money so **** on em. My truck will be kept for ten more years and then perhaps a second refurb.(body work and paint) It is a work truck as well as a pleasure use vehicle. It works when I work and it plays when I play. All I do is add a slide in truck camper with all facilities and head where I want to every winter.

I've had two 3500 SRW 6.4. a '14 and a '17.

Had 65k on the 14, and 43k on the 17.

The 14 was definitely a better running, less problem rig.

Not that the 17 was horrible, except for the never ending recalls, but had some issues.

Tranny pan leaking at 7k, and leaking again. Front end racking back and forth during low speed turns. Thinking U joints.

But, main reason for jumping ship...... If I got another Ram, it would be a new truck, but wouldn't feel like a new truck. When I got the 17, I had that feeling, and I know it would be worse if I got a third Ram. Biggest thing I missed with the Rams CC was the 8' bed, and didn't want a 8' bed with a CC because it's just too long plowing residential driveways.

So. The new rig..

2019 Ford F350 SRW, supercab with 8' bed.

Like to thank the Ram community for all the info and help with everything Ram. I'll be stopping by every now and then to keep up on what's new and improved with Ram. Who knows, I just might in a ram again in a few yrs.. View attachment 173895
I hate it but I understand your misery. Good luck.
