So I just picked up my headlights last night from a local guy that paints them up. Went to put them in today and noticed he scratched them to hell. Needless to say I am very disappointed cause he did a great job otherwise and they look great on my truck. Not sure if the scratches are on the outside or inside of the lense.

So I looked at them again and the scratches look to be on the inside. How hard would it be if I purchased another cheap stock set and bake both sets apart and swapped lenses? What's the best sealant to use?

If it's on the outside you may be able to fix. Look into headlight restoration kit. They sell them on Amazon

As I put up on Facebook, you can use a polisher and polish that out. Start with a 2000 grit and wet sand the lens then run a polisher over it a few times the same way you would do a paint correction starting with a heavy cutting compound and moving to a light polishing compound.

Ah man that's bummer. Id light that painter up. Inside is different story. Best to buy a new lens or get a used set of here and swap lens. What a pain in the ass. Baking isn't hard but really tedious and you can have issue resealing if not done right. Basically you heat 225-250 for five minutes and try to pry a corner. Then put back in another 5 and pry again. Really a pain. **** you can buy a blacked out oem set for under $200 or so. May be best option

Yeah I don't want to ruin them lol. There's an actual business in town that does the headlights (should've went there to begin with) and have them swap out lenses for me. I'll have to try and find another cheap stock set if they don't have lenses
