Ive noticed over the last couple of weeks that when I turn to full lock in reverse that my front end makes a scrubbing type sound, like the tire is rubbing the fender liner, but its not actually rubbing anything. I havent had this issue before, and I havent changed anything suspension or tire related in over a year. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar, and if this is an indication of some front end part wearing.

Again, NO changes have been made in over a year and sound only started within the last month or so (since the big snow we had at Valentines day)

The sound is only made at full lock while in reverse. Dont notice it going forward.

The sound is a very light scrubbing sound, not a chunking sound like a tire tread grabbing anything.

Year and model?

I've read some issues in the past on this that were related to the ebrake sticking. Also I would have the brakes inspected.

15 2500. Sound comes from the front wheels, not the back.

I'd service the t case and diff, might consider top line fluids such as redline or amsoil. The solid axle gets lubricated from turns which pushes fluid out to the hub assembly, so after a service it pays to go on a curvy road if you have one local. Does the 2500 have a full lock t case? The 1500's don't, but it is an easy upgrade.

I had this in my 1500, drove me nuts, serviced my diff and t case and so far so good. Mine would even have this scrubbing sound going slow moving forward in "full" lock, yes on field not pavement. Different animal then the HD's, so I'm not sure it will help, but likely needed anyhow.
