BEFORE SOMEONE HITS ME WITH "SEARCH FUNCTION" lol I already have went through the many many threads and every one is for 4th gen 3rds and the back housing is different. I already bought that boat rubber gasket the one guy used and tried but it wont fit a 3rd gen its much to thick.

Im not a fan of silicone'n it or using gasket maker because if a bulb goes i dont wanna deal with that.

So does anyone know of a better option? Or maybe if that new 2018 or whatever gasket they finally switched to will work on a 3rd gen back? or maybe a better aftermarket one?

Thank man. If no-one has a great easy fix I will look at going this route and making one seems like it being such a famous issue someone out there woulda made a better direct replacement but I haven't been able to find one

What about a make your own sheet gasket thing. Most part stores sell the sheet cut it to fit then you have a gasket and no garbage later

Now that's a unique idea, I bet you could use some kind of putty like that and work well

I had a problem with the Brake light leaking on another truck. I took wax paper and taped it around the brake light then filled it with clear silicone and wiped of the excess. Let it dry for a few days and it sealed up perfectly. I haven't taken a look at my Dodge to see if I could do this yet but it worked great on the old truck.
