SERV 4wd light on - 4wd will not work

Hi everyone,

I have a 2008 1500 Laramie that I just picked up about a week and a half ago. The SERV 4WD light is on solid, no blinking, and the 4WD control knob does nothing, in Auto, Lock, or 4lo. When I turn the dial, I hear nothing happening. I changed the front actuator, and that did not help. Any other ideas where I should look?

So I made some progress. As I was looking for bad wires, I found that I had a whole connector unplugged from the fuse box. I’ve plugged that in, and the SERV 4WD light has gone off. But now, when I switch into Auto, the 4WD Auto light on the dash flashes for about 15 seconds or so, then goes off. Same for Lock and 4Lo. The 4wd never actually engages. Any thoughts?
