I have a 2006 ram 1500 4x4, 4.7L,. The service 4wd light is on and the 4wd won't engage.
I was working on a faulty wire for the cam sensor and after that was fixed, I noticed the Serv 4wd Light was on... the transfer case won't engage... About 3 months ago that light came on, but turned off by itself after a couple of hours.
I'm suspecting some faulty wiring since this started after messing with the wiring, i see some part of the harness that goes down behind the engine... so I guess that could be a part of the problem... Any Ideas?
