Service 4wd light is on

I recently started my truck and noticed that I have a service 4wd light on my dash I have a floor shifter and my 4wd will not engage it makes no sound like it attempts to lock in.

You have the stick shift on the floor? That should be a direct mesh no electronics interfering. Sounds like it's a front axle actuator or wiring to the front axle actuator maybe? Got a code reader?

I dont have a code reader I took it down to get it read and they said no coded came up. They also said that it really doesn't read 4wd codes .so I'm not sure , with no electronics could this be an easy fix?

Yes it's a stick shift on the floor

What year is it? I'll see if I can find some wiring info

When my truck was out of alignment after installing my lift, I got that as well. I guess if your front end is out of whack, that could also be it.
