Shift solenoid A 2008 ram 1500 5.7

I'm new to the forum and not quite up to speed on how it works so feel free to lmk what I messed up.

Heres my issue I have an 08 1500 5.7 and I've found out that shift solenoid A is bad I've found a video showing how to change it on an 05 and the guy made it look easy my question is how much of a pain is it gonna be to change and should I have the tranny looked at even after I change it to make sure nothing else has gone wrong the only code that showed up was for the solenoid.....let me know what you think....thanks

It's messy but straight forward.

Have you dropped the pan and changed filters first ?

+1 start here, and do a flush (not a back-flush of the torque converter). This solved my shifting issues.
