Lookin to put headers on my 07 1500 5.7. No internal engine mods YET. I’d like to do all the bolt on mods first then do cam and heads. So far I have the Diablo 87 tune, flomaster muffler with single tail pipe and cold air intake. Any advise would be great.

Thanks

In all honesty, the shorties aren't going to give much performance. If you can do long tube headers and not worry about emissions, that's the way to go no doubt.
As far as brands go, I would look at KOOKS and ARH, American Racing Headers.

I have Gibson long tube. Without engine mods the difference is not much. I’m thinking to build mine too. How is the diablo anyway, is it worth it?

I use pacesetters on my 03, they are a good start. You’ll need a y pipe also if you do longtubes

I got the Diablo i2 used off ebay. 230.00 is what I paid. I think it’s worth it. I was able to change the fuel pedal sensitivity and shut off the MDS along with doing the 87 octane tune.
