Should I switch to high mileage?

My truck is at 103,000 far as miles. Should I switch to a high mileage motor oil? What is the benefits of these oils? I always use Mobil 1 full synthetic and Mobil 1 oil filter 10w30.

Yes, no, maybe.

M 4.7 is at ~125k miles (also a 2002), and I still run M1 Synthetic in it. No high mileage stuff.

I've never bought into the high mileage stuff, but a lot of people do. It's probably something that in the grand scheme, doesn't matter a single bit.

If you like the idea...do it. If not, you ain't gonna hurt anything at all.

I think high mileage oils just have more detergents to help clean a little better and additives to help condition seals more.

132k and counting in my dad's 4.7. Still using Pennzoil 5W30.

High milage oil is usually a mix of dino and synthetic and possibly other detergents as already mentioned. If you're already using a full synthetic such as Mobil1 you're ahead of the curve.

Devans is correct. If your using any of those you are fine. I have an unlimited supply of additive so I use just basic oil. Any of the Rotella is about the best you can get for detergent oils. Of course when it comes to oil, everyone has an opinion and no one is ever wrong!!
