I just picked up my 14 express quad cab 4wd about month and half ago and been doing research on steps. I'm trying to decide what steps to pull the trigger on. I like the n-fab and herd great things about them. I also like the iron cross steps because they have a little bit of polished stainless on them witch would go nicely with my truck. Has anyone used iron cross steps and are they any good?
Now my next question is how do y'all like the bed access steps for those of you that have them? I like the idea of not having to step on my tire to get something out of the bed. Any any pictures of steps you have would be appreciated.

Here is a pic of my truck any suggestions or opinions welcome. Also this is going to be my 10 year plus truck so I want good quality stuff.

Thanks in advance

My plan in the future when the tires wear out are to go up 2 inches and get some 275/65r20 or 285/65r20 so some where between 34 and 35 in tires I don't want to go too crazy with it just a little attitude. Plus I want to to still fit in the garage.

Something like that I don't want to do a body lift though. But I wasn't trying to get off topic with the tires and lift. The lift and tires will be atleast 3 years down the road side steps will be few months away.

I just put an offer in on a set of nfab wheel to wheel in textured black to look oem-esque. I say do it. I love how tight the nfabs sit to the body. I have a black express ccsb too so maybe in a few weeks shoot me a message and I'll post some pics. Should look hot.

Well depending on the way your truck sits would depend on the steps that I would suggest. At least that's why I asked..

I hope you didn't take my comment about off topic the wrong way. I understand were your comment was going so I apologize if that came across wrong. I have been apart of forums with every vehicle I have had and I know how fast they can take a wrong turn and get off topic really fast I was just trying to get back in the step direction instead off lift direction.

To sum up I am planing on going up 1 day way down the road just not soon. As of right now the wife is complaining about how tall it is. I do want steps myself I like the look of them. So my first mod will be a set of steps. Thank you to every one that has commented. LoLMPG I will send you a message in a few weeks and see how you like the n-fab.

I recently purchased a set of Iron Cross HD steps (I am not sure if these were the ones you were talking about). I will be installing them sometime in the next month and will post pictures.

For sure dude, I was just making sure you knew where I was going with it. But we cool. You said the look, I was going to recommend some power steps that come down when the truck door is opened. They can be adjusted when you decide to modify the height on your truck to drop down to the length that you choose. And for the bed, there is a peg that manually will flip in and out for you to use instead of your tire. Now since you mentioned look, for your truck I think the (N-Fab 3" Round Black Powder Coated Cab Length Nerf Steps 2009-2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab) would look really nice and isn't the normal factory step.

Awesome I'll message you in a few weeks for some pics if I don't see them posted up. And get your opinion on how you like them.

I would love to do the power folding steps but they are out of my price range I really don't want to spend more than 500 on steps and I know that's what the 6 step n-fab and iron cross run, and the 4 steps run about 400-450. I will look into the folding peg for bed entrance I've herd of them just never really thought about it.

I have the Raptor 4" wheel to wheel steps on mine. The extra step in front of the rear wheel helps with bed access. If you didn't go wheel to wheel then Amp makes a bolt on bed assist that goes on the side. They also have one for the rear. On a side note... I like them to stick out so the doors of other cars hit the steps before my doors.
