Hey guys, on one of my Facebook groups I seen quite a few people were having issues with the Jack hold down rusting and the nut weld breaking free under the body and spinning freely. So part 1 is more of a maintenance tip than it is a mod, but I removed mine and put antiseize on the threads to stop it from rusting in place which works great.
Now for the “simple mod” portion of this post.
It may sound like a silly mod but I’ve noticed I can hear the jack rattle over bumps from time to time and I didn’t care for the way the hold down “held” the jack in place. My solution was to put an old hollow center acorn style lug nut under the jack so that it actually clamps down on it and stops it from bouncing around.
just figured I’d share Incase anyone else wanted to do the same.
