Looking to put the transfer case skid plate on my 2015 2500 Hemi. The skid plate itself is P/N 68089777AB and is used on all the 1500 - 3500s. My question is on the cross member. Does the 1500 cross member fit the 2500? Anybody ever tried it? Basically, you can get a Mopar accessory kit with the skid plate, cross member and bolts (P/N 82214497) for under $100. When you look up the skid plate and cross member for a 2500, its a different part number for the cross member (I think 52121444AD)
and a $200 or more price tag for just the cross member. The online pictures/Mopar Parts diagrams make the cross members look the same, but I not sure what they are in reality. Anybody figured this out for the 2500s?

No idea the only constructive thing I can add is I installed the crossmember kit on my 1500 and it had existing holes in the frame for the bolt hardware, so it all just went together with hand tools no drilling and no foul language. The holes might not already be there in the same place on the 2500.

Kind of a side note, the crossmember (1500) is pretty flimsy.. I don't plan to beat mine up too much but for example if I got the idea to lift my truck up with a floor jack I would definitely not start under that. Could be that the 2500 crossmember is stronger too?

I will try to look under mine for what it has for holes in the frame and see. I figured somebody in ramforum world had tried this...

The image of 52121444AD looks very different from the 1500 crossmember, structurally - if anything I'd be wanting to substitute the heavier one onto my 1500 rather than the lighter one on a 2500

I have seen the same picture you found. When you look up the parts diagram drawings on the Mopar websites, it looks just like the 1500 one. The drawings dont match the picture of the actual part so thats what makes it confusing
