Egr, PCV valve, IAC valve, TPS... Could be a bunch of things. On my old 03 4.7, I had issues with it stalling randomly once every couple of months from the day I got it with 100k miles til the day it died with 200k. I changed all of the above and more and it never solved anything to do with the stalling. My 06 5.7 has done it once as well in the year I’ve owned it. Always low speed, in or out of a parking spot for example. I’ve always thought it was just a Ram quirk. Dealer was never any help cause it was so intermittent. No codes, no anything.
With it happening on both trucks, one with a 4.7 and no egr, one a 5.7 hemi with egr, physical throttle cable vs fly by wire, different pcm/ecm for the different engines, etc... It has always seemed to me it was a transmission programming issue. Idk, but be prepared to think youve fixed it, just for it to happen again a few months down the line when you’re trying to make a U turn before oncoming traffic.
Don’t want to scare you off, they’re great trucks, but the Chrysler reps in my area didn’t do **** all towards diagnosing or even putting any thought into solving the issue for me.
Good luck, and stay safe.
