Everyone that i talk to about making a custom box says that birch is easier to work with. I have not used it before but it would be nice to try it out. Maybe later on
The idea I have in my head is going to give me full adustability to seats and hit 1 cube of volume for sure. From there I will be relying on my buddies for help with amp rack since they see possiblities a lot easier than I can.
I am really really considering cutting it anyways just to have a little better fit and finish when installing the box. So that really helps with that desision lol. Might also be a good way of keeping the surround of the sub from knocking into the seats without sacrifising any box volume.
Next step will more than likely be HAT Imagine 6.5s and one day at the LE3 to the dash for 3 way setup.
I think its justifiable for the price with so many people saying they are the most natural sounding speakers at the price points they are at and that is all of their lines that people say this about. With that in mind I am still going to find a dealer and see if I can't find a good price on them.
