I'm toying with the idea if doing a lift on my truck. I'm thinking like only 3 or 4 inches max. I feel my truck hit bumps at 70 mph and it feels like the whole truck jolts. To the point I don't like driving it on the highway at 70mph. I'm looking for a super smooth ride. I don't go off road. Truck sees mostly in town driving with some gravel roads too. If I have to mix and match parts that's fine too.

Thanks

At that age more then anything you need at least a moderate front end rebuild. New lower and upper control arms, sway bar links and bushings, and new struts will make a world of difference, and can be done for $500-1000 depending on the parts used and if you do it yourself. Did that to my 2009 a couple years ago and it rides like brand new now. Felt as rough as a 2500 before. I used bilstien 5100s

Replacing rear shocks, coils and everything with rubber bushings is a good idea also but the front end will make the most dramatic difference.

I will never understand putting a lift on a pavement princess.

As far as your poor ride quality, I'm with mrack. I haven't even done rears yet, just the front shocks alone made a huge difference on mine. Assuming yours is a 1500, you should have a pretty good ride quality if everything is properly maintained. 70mph should be a nice Sunday drive.

I would go through all your suspension looking for play and items that need to be replaced due to age, wear, and tear. Then go with the Eibach Pro kit and Zone UCA's which will get you 2.75"F/1"R OR go Zone 4" lift kit with Fox rear shocks and then Fox 2.0 coil overs. There are plenty of other options as well and we can discuss them if interested message me. We have lots of options that will fit your needs but budget will play a major role in my recommendations.

It drives good til I hit a bump or a place where the state has patched the road. Then it feels like a 2500

How many miles on the truck? Has anything in the suspension been replaced recently?

I drive 90% pavement, 10% off road. Because I go to the City I need to park - underground, height restricted also I use touch free car washes and home garages etc. so I stick to 2.5" with 33's. A lot of folks who lift big do not realize the places that they cant go.

I went with this package, drives as good as factory or better, not rough at all.

- Icon Vehicle Dynamics Suspension Lift: 2.5” Front Coil-Over Shocks, 2.5” Vehicle Specific Rear Shocks, Rear 1.5” Dual Rate Coil Springs, Delta Joint Tubular Upper Control Arms
- Freedom Off Road Panhard Bar

My truck has 214k miles on it. I bought the truck at the end of November last year. So I've basically only drove it for a year. I haven't replaced any suspension parts.

I never understood why people keep trucks looking lame AF in stock form. :emotions122:

Offroad --> lift
Pavement --> lower

I'm all for making it your own, just make it make sense. When I was trying to decide what to do with my sierra, it took me a while to decide between an offroad built with 33s and a small lift or LS swap it, weld the diff, drop it 3" and make a drift truck.

Lifting a pavement princess is like spending $5k a 338 Lapua with a 30x scope and only using it at a 50yd indoor range. If that's your thing then cool, its your money, but I'm still going to make fun of you for it.

Likely needs all the bushings looked over and shocks replaced at a minimum. Message me with a budget that you have in mind and I can get you quoted for the best option within your budget.

Says the guy with an aftermarket bumper with no winch... lol..

Designed / built it with a place for a winch and figured I would buy one after my first time getting stuck. 3 years and lots of mud later, haven't been stuck yet :shrug:

Thanks
With the lift in my signature my truck drives like a dream. Better than stock.

I bought everything from @Nick@GotExhaust and had it installed by @Quick_Shifter .

The whole process was drama free and I could not be happier with the final result.
