Sold the old girl today

Sold my 2016 Ram 2500 Laramie 4X4 crew cab with the 6.4 Hemi.Had it going on 5 years 50,000 trouble free miles on the OD.I traded for 2020 GMC Yukon Denali with the 6.2 motor.We are in our 60,s now wife wanted something easier to get in and out of 3/4 was hike for her even with running boards.Purchased the truck brand new (2016) for $48,000 and got $40,000 back out of it.Hopefully the GM will be as good as my ram was to us.

My 17 turned 4 on 12/30/20. She has 14,500 miles on it and is garaged and still looks like the day I drove it home.

Stories like these make me hopeful when the day comes that I trade mine in on a new one, I'll get rewarded for my care and maintenance of the 17. Time will tell!

Lord willing at the 10yr mark I plan on getting a 3500 srw as my next truck.

I guess 50K miles is "old" for a Hemi. If it was a Cummins, it would be a youngster just getting broken in.

My truck KBB’a for $36k here in northern New England, it only KBB’s for $30k in Northern California where I bought it. I bought it for $38k. Seems like these heavy duty trucks maintain their value pretty well. 2016 26k miles tradesman Cc LB

Not enough good used truck on the market.Around here at one point in this covid 19 chit all of the dealers lots were stripped of new trucks.Never seen that before.

Never gonna sell my 2008 2500. When I see rust problems will get full body job and paint. When original box dies will grab a custom fab one with some real steel in it. Have you ever had a truck before 10 to 20 years old and got a total body renewal on it? The fun part is seeing the reactions of people with brand new ones vs a Gen 3 that is a rarity in concourse condition? The price of a new truck will go a long way to a complete renewal of an old warrior that I will never separate with but will let it keep rising from the dead. Trouble though is then I do not want to use it as a work truck.
