As the title says some of the LED's in my left rear taillight are dimmer than the rest and visually flickering. They still light up, but I'd say they are only about 30% as bright as the rest. I believe this to be the reason I have a left rear brake light out message on in the truck. I also have a license plate light out message on the dash, and I've seen one of those lights flickering as well.

I've read a lot of information about people who do the LED conversions having issues like this but my truck (2014 Ram Sport) came stock with Mopar LED taillights.

Are my only options to live with it and flash out the driver info message with a scanner, or replacing the taillight? Is this a common issue with Mopar LED taillights? Would I be better switching to aftermarket taillights if I decide to replace it?

Pictures show left and right taillights lit up and you can see the problematic LED's in the top right corner of the left taillight.

Not many problems are reported about the OEM LED taillights going bad, unfortunately replacement is the only fix. Whether you OEM or aftermarket is a personal preference of what you want them to look like

This is so weird. My left turn signal out indicator went off and my right turn signal out indicator is on now. I looked at the LED's in the back and all of the left taillight is lit up like normal, and there are 4 LED's dimmer than the rest on the right taillight. What the heck is going on? Will a questionable ground cause some of the LED's to function fully, but others will be dimmer?

Nope, they are just experiencing the bad contact issue. I had that with mine and replaced the entire right unit with one from Amazon that LITERALLY is apples for apples in appearance $99 . Although the new aftermarket is a little brighter. But for $99 it's perfect
Even cheaper now!! $85

So you can buy both for less than $200 and not have any issues
