my oldest will be 15 in 2 months, so he will be taking drivers ed this winter

a while ago my wife totalled her charger so i bought her a new one, and she never warmed up to that one
so, i bought her a journey and let the boy have the charger...yeah, hes gonna get tossed in the deep end, its a pursuit charger, basically the RT package but wilt all wheel drive
I loved my Charger, tried to get inspected and there was rot enough in there that it is no longer safe on the road.

what year we talking ?

here in Michigan, there are no inspections anyway, you pay your fees and you can run it on the road

we started out with on '08, i replaced the fuel door due to rust somewhere in the lst 6 years or so, and it was showing a little bit of bubbling above the rear wheel wells, nothing serious

if the airbags hadnt gone off weda kept that one

08 Police Package. I've had it 15 years. The ass end is rotted out and the structural parts have rot through them. Motor and transmission are good to go. Everything else is shot. And even if it had a solid body, I need to replace an airbag inflator due to a recall....going to be turning the plates in and putting it on Marketplace for parts.

our '08 was a 3.5 or so v6 awd
kinda gutless but never got her stuck in 10, 12 michigan winters

we totalled that one out a few years ago, just last week i had a lady from the dealership show up at the house trying to get me to bring in the '08 for the airbag recall

funny thing is, if that silly airbag hadnt gone off, i would have slapped a new front bumper on it and put another decade on her

on the bright side, the insurance payoff covered most of the '15 pursuit charger we ended up buying to replace it

Back on topic, I couldn’t decide where to put the award. We have an awards wall in the house. I decided to keep this one so it went in the garage. Those 150 hours are brainstorming for the show were all me lol. IMG_0349.jpeg

My latest judged show win. There was a total of 415 cars there all very deserving. Some were worth a few million dollars being vintage Bentleys. It sure was fun to support a great cause. It was fun letting the other local detail companies know there is a new kid in town as well lol. For some reason I was singing that in my head in shock when we took home a best of show.

@Treburkulosis

I just finished cleaning and detailing the undercarriage on my '69 GTX, it took about 15 hours over the past week. This is a regularly driven, 25 year old home restoration, not a trailer queen. It still cleans up prety good...

I haven’t posted the last big one as business has been hectic. I am partnered up with my wife and the Chamber of Commerce she runs so lots of networking plus work. We do a show every year usually just go and support for Down Syndrome. Last year we took the Camaro out and it’s a big show 3-500 cars per year and no classes. Top 100. Last year we took home our first award there in the top 100 which is super cool just to win there. The awards are hand made and really cool each year. This year we went out and took the car hung out with our car club, and set up the tent and gave away free details. It was a fun day. Totally same thing was expected. I was up in the air if we would get anything and as I tell my boys it’s just part of the fun. They went in numbered order. Our number got passed so I figured well we lost. We stayed until the end with the club and my friend Ken takes the first best of show. He has a demo 67 RS SS Camaro car that has all of these certifications for authentication. It just looks like any other marina blue 67 lol. Anyways a few more best of shows go out and then we hear our name called for best of show. I am think wait what? I have not won a best of show since November of 2005. My 6 year old had fallen in love with the award we picked and it was still there. So just a great time and a great day with some good friends and my family. That is the whole reason why I got the car and spent so much time getting it to perfection.
