Ok guys sorry if this has been asked but I'm getting my limited cluster in this weekend and I have been looking at the Lame shift knob on the dash ( I miss column shifters ) but is there anyways to change out the ugly black knob with one of the all silver knobs like the limiteds and a few other models have? Thanks for any answers guys.

I would think that if there is a different color knob you could by the whole shifter and swap them. It should be really easy to do. There are only 2 screws holding that part of the dash on and the whole thing is retained by clips. The shifter itself I think is held in by clips too. I have to take apart my dash one more time to finalize my 8.4 upgrade. When I do I'll take a look for you and report back.

Thanks man I appreciate the info and checking for me next time. I found a wrecked 2014 ram sport online that had it as well as many other parts but someone beat me to the shift knob haha I was excite It looks so much better than the black with a chrome ring.

SitKneel is right, the shifter mechanism just simply unscrews from the plastic trim parts and has either single wiring connector (4x2) or two connectors (4x4)

it should be an easy swap, just make sure to get right 4 wheel drive button setup, not sure if that section is swappable

Ok I took two pictures. The shifter is held on by 2 screws on the back of the bezel and has 1 plug (highlighted in red).

Hey man sorry here's the shift knob I am wanting to find to go in my Lonestar. I have no clue for part number or any of that so I was looking to see if you or any of the other guys can help me track one down. Would love to get this to replace the black plastic one mine came with.

That seems easy enough, huh? I SHOULD have my truck back be the end of this week or Monday and then I will take a look at everything. Hopefully I can find one. Crazy how a simple knob can improve the dash that much more.
