no. the bolts hold the seat bottom to the floor. the seat back slides in grooves. it's not that bad. a buddy and i did mine in an afternoon. took it all the way to the back of the front seats. i would do the doors and roof also

That's exactly what I am looking to do but can't figure out how to unhook the back of seat from the wall. Also what product did you use

Just get all the bolts out from the base of the seat, then lift straight up keeping the back of the seat pressed against the back wall. I took mine out by myself when I was installing my sub box, wasn't hard at all

Interior exhaust noise is hard to mask. It would be easier and cheaper to get a quieter muffler. Doing the roof in a daily driver will only help it you often have low-flying planes over your head -- or maybe when semis pass. Doing the roof for a killer sound system will help, but I doubt it will make a difference to mask your own exhaust noise. DB meter before/after would be proof.

Attempting to block standing waves (the drone) from your exhaust is going to be near impossible with basic sound deadening. Low Hz sounds like that will penetrate easily.

Sound deading will help with rattles and light tinny noises (like road noise).

I had that problem in my '03 when I got the stupid idea to have the exhaust exit in front of the rear tire- putting the FM 40 under the back seat.
I used FatMat- did the entire rear wall, floor, doors, and roof. Sounded like an old school Caddy- nice and quiet

as i understand it, the resonate frequency or drone is actually developed in the sheet metal. the goal is to strengthen/dampen the metal so that it does not transfer or amplify the frequency. mine was terrible loud as i have a 14" magnaflow single in dual out that dumps before the rear axle. just outside the passenger rear door. mine has gotten tremendously better. i have not done the doors or roof yet. those are more overkill and just for me
