alright guys I'm completely stumped... and do not know where to turn. I do apologize, but this is kind of a long story...

I got my entire sound system changed about 2 years ago in the summer. it worked perfectly for a long time sounded great and had great bass on a shallow mount 10". About 6 months ago, it quit... completely. There is power to the amp when it is signalled on from the headunit, but no sound regardless of the volume. I took it my audio guy (unfortunately is now out of business) he touched the wires and literally like magic the radio came on and began to function as it should. Well that only lasted for a day... I have been musicless for 6 months.. it is HORRIBLE!

So recently my father bought me a new amp (alpine MRX-V70) to replace my old amp (1600 watt PowerBass 5 chan amp). Well the new alpine has 20 watt rms higher on the 4 channels than the PowerBass and 50 watt higher rms on the sub channel. we installed it and it all worked just fine and we tuned it to sound perfect. Well that same night it died... The next morning we fumbled with the tune again and got it running okay and it lasted about 2 days... and died again

Now tuned at a higher volume on the headunit and lower gain on the amp we got it running for about a week and it died again... and I am now musicles yet again.

What should I check next? the grounds? should I replace the headunit?
It just doesn't make sense to me that two different company amps would be doing the same exact thing... especially since the Alpine is newer and more powerful.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: I have a JVC Headunit (KD-R820BT), all pioneer speakers including the sub, and NO FUSES were blown! I have 80 amp fuse on the main line and 2, 30 amp fuses on each amp.

Edit: also have a 10 amp fuse in the back of the headunit... every fuse is still in tack

Sounds like signal from HU to amp, RCA, ground, power, etc.

I will be checking all the grounds this weekend, and hopefully this will solve the problem!

Honetly... all he did was put a volt meter to the power cable and the ground cable in the amp, and it just started working again. this whole thing is weird...

It doesnt seem to be the amp, has to be something connected to the amp, RCA, power, ground, remote, etc
