Hey everyone. On my recently acquired a 14 Ram 1500 Express. I noticed that while driving, I can hear wind entering the cabin, almost like when a window is left open ever so slightly. Is this normal or should I take it in to get checked by the dealer? (I paid for extended bumper to bumper warranty) or is there a quick fix for this. It doesn't get wet inside, but it is kind of annoying.

Thanks!

My 17 half ton did it when new and it drove me crazy so I pulled of the door panels and lined them with sound mat. Didn't really make much difference. I hope someone can figure this out.

Every RAM I have had has the wind noise. FWIW, My wife's 2010 F150 XLT, 4 X 4, had the same thing. Wind noise in the upper door panel near the mirrors.

Maybe Kelvar help, heck... lol, I just ignore and turn up the tunes 1 setting, just IMHO

Take it back to the dealer, they can adjust the door position to reduce the seal gap and improve the wind noise. I did mine myself a few weeks ago, and it was night and day better.

My 18 is in the shop right now for that. They have replaced weather stripping and window seals, and can't seem to figure it out. They are now talking about new front doors! I'll keep everyone posted on the outcome.

I’ve isolated the sound on my 2017 to my mirrors. If you have the power fold mirrors, fold them in and take a drive. Noise changes/goes away. At least on mine it did.

I very rarely drive without music playing, so I don’t even notice it anymore.

Wow! I wasn't expecting this many people with this issue lol, seems like is very common.

I don't have power folding, but I will fold them and see if it goes away.

I usually just blast the music so I don't hear it, but sometimes I like to drive with everything off and just enjoy the ride, and then is when it gets annoying.

I will do that and see what they say. I haven't had service experience with the dealer yet, hopefully they don't have meathead mechanics lol

FYI----If you change your antenna to one of those "shorties" you may very well experience the same type noise.

Likely the mirrors. Take masking tape and seal up around the mirrors where they sit up against the door. Go for a drive and see if it goes away. I ended up getting weather stripping and taking the mirrors off and weather stripped the outer perimeter of the mirrors where they attached to the door. Wind noise gone.

How did you do it?

I had to do a bit of everything, I loosened my hinges and raised the door a bit at the b-post. Adjusted my door striker positions and bent my door headers. But this is something I do in my scope of work. I don’t recommend bending the doors without any prior knowledge or experience.

Seriously, this would make a great "how to" topic. It would be a sticky for sure...
