Source for replacement tailgate handle with lock?

Hi

Anyone know where I can get a black tailgate handle / latch with a lock.

So that you can leave your tailgate locked to protect your stuff.

I googled and I can’t seem to find a lock for the third Gen Ram 1500.

I did a search on Rock Auto, Got 8 results 7 of which were either black or textured black. This was my search: "2007 5.7L Dodge Ram 1500 locking tailgate latch" I would recommend using handle instead of latch because the latch is inside the tailgate one on each side, but I found the handle a little further down in the results list. Do you want a manual key lock or one that integrates into the RKE/power lock system? I recently installed this on mine:

For a manual lock, no not that I have found. The one I installed ties into the power lock system.

For the power locks where did you tie into the power?

And is there some type of quick disconnect for the wiring so that you can take off the tailgate?

Full instructions come with it, the harness ties into the power door lock wires up under the dash. Yes, there's a short harness that runs out the bottom of the tailgate through a hole in the bed to underneath.
