Hey fellas, firstly AWESOME stickies! So glad I decided to do my research before buying the cheapest strut extensions I could find to level. This site has been a wealth of information and thankful for it. I am picking up my new to me Ram 1500 4x4 Laramie tomorrow and I have settled on Bilsteins as many of you have and recommend. But I do have a couple questions I couldn't find answers too reading thus far. I understand that the ride quality from 2.1-2.8 is minimal at best and still comfortable, can anybody set that to rest? Secondly, I know that spacers over 2.5" can be tough on cv joints etcetera. Correct me if I am wrong but the Bilsteins at 2.8 are easier on the suspension as they don't exert as much pressure on the joints? Layman terms, Bils at 2.8 are less risky than 2.5" extensions? Lastly, surely TGC spacers aren't the only options but that is all I hear y'all installing, are there any blocks for the rear under $100? Looking forward to becoming a part of the community and "picking up" my truck! Thanks in advance!!

Also, I assume these will fit my 2013 right? The Everything Bilstein Mega thread said, Front 24-187367

another user turned me to JET, can't remember his name but they seem to be the cheapest here

Yes jet is the cheapest. Ride quality ar 2.1 is good. I have not changed the rears from stock yet and can tell a difference. It is much better. For some reason, my 2.1 left me with a little bit of a nose high stance so i put in 3/4 inch poly tgc spacers in the rear at the bottom of the spring and walla, level. 24-187367 are the fronts you will need and you will need 2. Also might as well throw on a set of mevotech upper control arms just as cheap 100$ insurance. Paint them first as they will rust quick. Other than that, stay away from front spacers. Enjoy

Thanks jknappen for your response you have put my mind at ease a bit haha. I am going to go ahead and order the shocks for the front and I'm still at a cross roads between 2.1 and 2.8 for the setting.. I suppose it really isn't that much of a difference but I'm struggling with it haha. Found the poly spacers you were referring to here?

If I go 2.1 I'll probably chose the 3/4 if I go 2.8 it'll most likely be 1.5. On those UCAs did you just rattle can yours or powder coat? Lastly have you seen them any cheaper than here?

I'm sure I sound like a weenie lol but I appreciate the input, want to make sure and do this right the first time. Should get my truck tonight and I'll be posting up pictures! Don't want to mess up that beauty!

Bilsteins adjust the preload while spacers extend the length of the shock. Between the two Bilsteins are the better choice.

Right, going with the Bilsteins for the front but the backs I believe I'll just get the extensions. From what i understand they serve fine back there.

Welcome. I coated my ucas with truck bed liner in a rattle can. They are side specific too by the way
