I am going to get my tires rotated next weekend. When I bought my Cooper ST Maxx 295s I only og tfour of them. I have three long road trips coming up between now and Christmas and think it may be a good idea to get a proper spare or at least the same spare as what Im running now on my other four.

Will a 295 fit up under in the spare tire location? How tight? Tire is about 34.5" overall. What say you? Thanks

Pretty sure I read 35s won't fit below bed, which has me looking at possible bed mounted spare solutions... Not sure how tight it is, and I read that in passing. Hopefully someone can come in with a definitive answer.

I'm not sure if they will fit or not, but when I measured the stock 18" firestone my truck is wearing they were 34" so I would think they'd fit?

I tired to fit my spare KO2 under there and it would not. Inflated mine is a bit over 34.5 inches. I was going to try to under inflate the tire a bit but never got around to it. I honestly don't think it would even matter.

Also, between the wheel I have it mounted on and the weight of the tire itself, the whole thing just seemed a bit too heavy and awkward for the system. This may be different for you. My tire weighs around 68 pounds and the wheel is I think about 35. It was a PITA trying to get it up there straight and then when I finally did it was too big. I forget what part it was hitting on first, but it was at least a good 1+ inch too big in diameter when I took a good look. Sucks.

I just keep mine ratchet strapped into the bed. If you need use of the entire bed, that's when you have a problem lol.

BTW, my spare and the normal factory tires on the truck only measured about 33 inches.

35" spares fit depending on the tire. If you can't fit a KO2 you need to try harder.

I could fit my 35 under the bed of my '98 RAM... I just had to under-inflate it, get it into position, pull it as far back as I could to clear the rear diff, then air it up most of the way. To remove it, I would just jam the bar of my Hi-Lift under it and pry it down. Mount it on the truck and air it up all the way. I have not upgraded the wheels/tires on my '12 RAM yet but I imagine I'll have to do the same thing.
