Spare Tire?

So I have 20"' rims, -44 offset on 35/12.50/20 Nitto M/T's on a 6" lift. The spare tire is a 265/70/17. Is this spare really going to do me any good? I don't want to carry it around if it's pointless.

I've got KO2 275/70/18 (same size as the truck came with) but the spare, even though the same size was a street tire. Went on eBay and picked up a used KO2 with about 60% tread that's the same size and had it mounted for the spare. Figured that if I was off road somewhere and needed the spare I'd rather have something with traction then a slick street tire. Cost me about $95 and free shipping.

I think it's a recall that they will replace that tire.

Yeah, think im going to get a 5th tire and rim to match. Took off the spare load for now. If I do blow a tire in the meantime, will just have towed to the tire shop! Very unlikely this will happen on the street or sand anyway.

Haven't had to put a spare on in twenty years. I'm sure I'll blow one of my M/T's out tomorrow just for saying saying that and the fact that I took it off this weekend. Lol...

On a related note, does anyone know if a 13+ factory Sport Wheel & tire will fit in the spare tire spot?
