Spark jumping to block

OK guys have a problem hopefully one of you guys can help I have a 1998 Dodge ram 1500 V6 3.9 leader it is back firing and the spark is jumping to the block at never seen this happen have no idea where to begin have changed all spark plugs and wires and still the spark is jumping to the block any help would be greatly appreciated

It is jumping from the spark plug wire to the block and yes you could see a blue spark Play whatever you wanna call it I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the reason why it's backfiring but can't find anything on the Web about it

Where on the wire to the block is it jumping? Did you buy quality wires or cheap wires? I fixed up a Chevy v6 and used cheap plug wires. It was jumping through the plug boots. Had to go buy better quality wires to fix the problem on that vehicle

check the ground strap to the engine to fire wall or around that area did you buy die electric grease to put inside boots before putting on the spark plug

Sounds like a bad plug wire arcing.
