Speakers crackle and pop, even when radio is turned OFF

I'm wondering if anyone has heard of this issue, as I've been unable to find anything online, and the dealership could not figure out the issue either. I have a 2017 Dodge Ram Sport 1500 with the Alpine speaker system.

It is a difficult issue to recreate as it seems to only happen in very cold temperatures, around 10F or colder. When I start the truck, the speakers will pop and crackle very loudly, like max volume and then some. It doesn't matter if im listening to FM, Sirius, Bluetooth, and it doesn't matter what the volume is set at or if the radio is even powered on! The speakers will still do this for about 15-20 minutes till the truck is warmed up.

Due to this issue the speakers did blow partially and i have to order new ones. My issue though is, since the dealership here in town couldn't figure out the issue, I can buy new speakers to install, but its just going to happen again next winter when it is cold enough.

Did they check the amp? Most likely this is the culprit...

I have occasional ghostly bursts of static from my 2014 ED when sitting with everything off.

The noise is soft and lasts about a second. It is as if the radio was tuned off-station.

Haven’t figured this out...

Well in their report they put damage to the door speakers, but i hear a constant static from the dash speakers now that seems like the tweets are damaged.

That was my thought process too, but they said the amp was fine. Maybe a need a second opinion, because Im pretty sure whether i replace the speakers or not, this is just going to happen again next winter.

Definitely get a second opinion but if this is out of warranty I recommend getting a new factory amp from a salvage yard. They are easy to find and should cost much less than what the dealer is going to be charging.

Just for an option.... I swapped mine out for a Kenwood DSP which integrated with the stock wiring with a third party harness. I also replaced all the speakers and added a second amp to push a stealth box.. huge difference. Just depends how far you want to go with it.

Alpine should be ashamed to put their name on these stock components... especially the so-called subwoofer.

Thank you all for your feedback! Im moving here soon but i'll probably take it in for a second opinion. As a guy who used to put in after market stereos when i was younger, it's not something I plan to do anymore, but maybe given all this, it might be cheaper in the long run lol
